You read it here first. Jeb Bush will be the front runner in the Republican 2008 race. He might not win - he may have the same dynasty problems that plagued Hillary Clinton - but he's just too attractive a candidate for the GOP to ignore. Jeb Bush is the best of the bunch - a Bush with real brains, deep connections to the Hispanic community because of his marriage, and a solid gold track record as Florida governor.
The St. Pete's Times catches up to Bush. It finds that he is making a lot of money from speaking engagements and business contacts now that he's out of politics - for the momennt. But it also raises some troubling questions about some of those deals. (Democrats would be wise to clip this article and have it ready for the 2008 campaign.)
